These Terms govern your use of the Guitar Cycles iOS app. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Guitar Cycles (“the App”) is published by Enrico Dell’Aquila (“the Developer”, “we”, “us”). See our Privacy Policy for how the App handles information.

1. The App

Guitar Cycles is an educational music tool for exploring chord cycles, voicings, and voice-leading on guitar. It is provided for personal, non-commercial, educational use.

2. License

The App, its source code, and its original content and imagery are proprietary and copyright © 2026 Enrico Dell’Aquila. All rights reserved. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, for its intended purpose, subject to the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. You may not copy, modify, decompile, distribute, sublicense, or resell the App or its source code, in whole or in part, without our prior written permission.

The App also includes third-party open-source software and licensed assets (audio samples), each under its own license. See licenses/THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.ios.txt (bundled with the App and linked from its Help screen) for the complete list and license texts.

3. Free and full versions

The App offers a free tier (a fixed key, scale, chord voicing, and a subset of chord cycles and string sets) and a full version that unlocks all keys, scales, cycles, voicings, and string sets. Feature availability may change between versions of the App; we will not remove features you have already unlocked through a valid purchase.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

The full version can be unlocked either through an auto-renewing annual subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase, both processed by Apple’s In-App Purchase system (StoreKit). By purchasing, you agree to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions, which govern billing, in addition to these Terms.

• Subscription: renews automatically at the end of each period unless cancelled beforehand. You can cancel any time from your Apple ID’s subscription settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• Lifetime purchase: a single payment that unlocks the full version for as long as the App is installed, with no recurring charge. This license is tied to the lifecycle of the App itself, not to the purchaser individually, and does not guarantee future software updates, new features, or continued compatibility with future OS versions. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App or the service supporting it in the future, with prior notice where practicable; this does not create any obligation to provide a refund beyond what is required under the applicable App Store’s own refund policy.
• Restoring a purchase: a valid purchase can be restored on a new device signed in to the same Apple ID, via the App’s “Restore purchases” option.
• Refunds: handled by Apple under its own refund policy. We do not process payments or refunds directly.
• Price changes: if we change subscription pricing, the App Store will notify you before any new price applies to your renewal.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App to bypass its licensing or purchase checks;
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others;
• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App or its content without our written permission.

6. Intellectual property

All trademarks, logos, and original content in the App belong to the Developer or the respective third-party licensors credited in licenses/THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.ios.txt. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you.

7. No warranty

The App is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, including loss of data or purchases, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on Apple’s In-App Purchase system (StoreKit) for purchases and purchase restoration. Your use of that service is subject to Apple’s own terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the availability or conduct of third-party services.

10. Termination

We may suspend or discontinue the App, or your license to use it, if you materially breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it; this does not entitle you to a refund except where required by Apple’s refund policy or applicable law.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, within the App. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law principles, except where mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence grant you additional rights that cannot be waived.
