Privacy Policy

Guitar Cycles · Web · Last updated: 20 July 2026

Guitar Cycles is designed to work entirely in your browser. We do not operate servers that collect your data, we do not require an account, and the web app contains no advertising and no analytics or tracking SDKs. There are no purchases of any kind on the web app. The only exception is the optional launch-notification signup described in Section 3 below.

This Privacy Policy explains how the Guitar Cycles web app (“the App”) handles information. The App is published by Enrico Dell’Aquila (“the Developer”, “we”, “us”).

1. Information we collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our own servers.

The App stores the following locally in your browser only (using local storage), so it can remember your preferences between visits:

This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to the Developer. Clearing your browser’s site data removes it.

2. Purchases

The web app is free to use and gives access to all features with no purchase of any kind. No payment information is collected, processed, or stored.

3. Third-party services — launch notification signup

The marketing website (guitarcycles.com) offers an optional email signup so we can notify you when the Android app becomes publicly available. If you choose to sign up:

Aside from this optional signup, the web app itself does not use any third-party services: no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, or tracking services of any kind.

4. Legal basis for processing

We process your email address on the legal basis of your explicit consent, given by actively checking the consent box on the sign-up form and confirming via the double opt-in email. You may withdraw your consent at any time (see Section 7, “Your data protection rights”).

5. Children’s privacy

The App is a general-audience educational music tool. It does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children.

6. Data retention

Because all App data is stored locally in your browser, you are in full control: clearing your browser’s site data for this page removes all locally stored settings.

We retain your email address (Section 3) only for as long as necessary:

If the launch is delayed beyond 12 months, we will contact you to request renewed consent before sending any further communications. You may also request deletion at any time by contacting us at the address in Section 10.

7. Your data protection rights

Under the GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address in Section 10. We will respond within 30 days.

8. International data transfers

We use Brevo (Sendinblue) as our email service provider for the launch notification signup. Brevo is headquartered in France (EU) and its servers are located within the European Economic Area (EEA). See Brevo’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for details.

Should any of your data ever be transferred outside the EEA, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure an adequate level of data protection.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe we have not complied with data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority in your country of residence. In Italy, the competent authority is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email (if you are already on our mailing list) or by placing a prominent notice on our website before the change takes effect.
